UK sanctions 10 Chinese companies

Spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in the UK answers questions about UK sanctions on Chinese companies.

Reporter: On November 7, the British government announced sanctions on multiple national entities and individuals, including 10 Chinese companies, on the grounds of providing support to Russia’s military industry. What is your comment on this?

Embassy Spokesperson: The UK’s actions violate international law and undermine the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies. China firmly opposes this and has lodged solemn representations with the UK.

I would like to reiterate that on the Ukrainian issue, China has always maintained an objective and fair position, actively promoted peace and dialogue, and promoted a political solution.

We urge the UK to correct its mistakes and lift sanctions on Chinese companies. China will take necessary measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.
