Xuzhou completes its first cross-border e-commerce “9610” export business
On November 5, a truck with a Lianyungang license plate, fully loaded with Donghai crystal jewelry, drove into the Xuzhou Airport Cross-border E-commerce Supervision Center. After Xuzhou Customs inspected and verified that the goods were correct, they were released and exported through Nanjing Lukou Airport to South Korea. This is the first time that the Xuzhou Airport Economic Development Zone Cross-border E-commerce Supervision Workplace has been approved for business, and it is also the first cross-border e-commerce “9610” export business completed by Xuzhou.
The cross-border e-commerce retail general export (9610) model is a common B2C (business-to-consumer) export model. Compared with traditional trade methods, it has the advantages of short links, fast timeliness, low cost and high flexibility, and has gradually become the mainstream export model for cross-border e-commerce companies.
“Before we had the ‘9610’ venue, most of Xuzhou’s goods were exported from cities such as Ningbo and Yiwu, and some even had to go through customs in Shenzhen, which resulted in high costs for businesses.” Sun Wei Qiang, chairman of Xuzhou Airport Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., introduced that after the launch of Xuzhou’s cross-border e-commerce “9610” export business, retail export companies that are suitable for the “9610” model can go overseas from their home country, thereby reducing costs, improving competitiveness, and attracting more surrounding companies to engage in export retail business.
