“Made in Jiangsu” home appliances break into overseas markets
From white appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners to smart small appliances for personal care, “Made in Jiangsu” appliances continue to “win fans” around the world. According to statistics from Nanjing Customs, in the first three quarters of this year, Jiangsu exported 51.05 billion yuan of household appliances, a year-on-year increase of 20.3%.
At Hisense Rongsheng (Yangzhou) Refrigerator Co., Ltd., automated production lines are running at full speed, and container trucks waiting for loading are neatly lined up outside the warehouse.
At Yangzhou Yuanyang International Container Terminal, 7 kilometers away, containers loaded with more than 100 refrigerators were directly shipped through the “direct loading at port” mode, achieving the fastest customs clearance. “Our own brand is being promoted more and more overseas, and our products are exported to more than 110 countries and regions. From large-capacity refrigerators of more than 500 liters to customized refrigerators of 45 liters, they are all very popular in overseas markets. In the first three quarters, we exported 2.59 billion yuan of refrigerators, a year-on-year increase of 38.5%, and the export box volume increased by 29.94% year-on-year.”
Ma Lili, production manager of Hisense Rongsheng (Yangzhou) Refrigerator Co., Ltd., said that since 2007, Hisense has been planning and developing its own brand of refrigerator products based on overseas market demand. In recent years, it has continuously invested in marketing of top sports events such as the European Cup and the World Cup to expand the brand’s influence around the world and quickly break through the overseas high-end market.
Suzhou Tineco Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in high-end smart appliances, and its products are exported to ASEAN, North America, Europe, Australia and other places. On October 22, the company applied to Suzhou Customs for a China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement certificate of origin for a batch of floor scrubbers exported to Vietnam.
“This wireless smart floor scrubber uses intelligent dirt recognition technology and can automatically adjust the cleaning mode according to the severity of the stains. It has received very good response in foreign markets.” Wu Liangyan, the company’s customs manager, introduced that in the first three quarters, the company’s exports increased by more than 30% year-on-year, and more than 80% year-on-year in the European market.
