In the first three quarters, the GDP of three cities in Jiangsu exceeded one trillion yuan

On November 6, the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Statistics released the GDP data of 13 cities in Jiangsu in the first three quarters of this year. From the perspective of the whole province, the economy continues to show a steady growth trend. The GDP of Jiangsu Province reached 9774.429 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%. This data not only demonstrates the strong resilience of Jiangsu’s economy, but also reflects the active efforts of various regions in promoting economic development.

From the perspective of each city, Suzhou ranks first with a total GDP of nearly 1.85 trillion yuan, worthy of the title of “economically strong city”. Nanjing and Wuxi followed closely, breaking through the 1.3 trillion yuan and 1.1 trillion yuan mark respectively. Suzhou, Nanjing and Wuxi became the first cities in Jiangsu to break the trillion yuan mark this year. These three cities not only have a huge GDP, but also show strong comprehensive strength in scientific and technological innovation, industrial upgrading, and urban construction.

It is worth mentioning that in the first three quarters, Nantong ranked fourth with a total GDP of more than 941.4 billion yuan. Changzhou and Xuzhou performed well, with GDP exceeding 700 billion yuan and 600 billion yuan respectively, providing strong support for the steady growth of Jiangsu’s economy.

Growth rate is also a key indicator reflecting the speed and vitality of economic development. In terms of growth rate, Huai’an stood out with a growth rate of 7%, ranking first. Suqian followed closely with a growth rate of 6.9%, and Nantong ranked third with a growth rate of 6.3%. In addition, Xuzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, Yangzhou, Changzhou, Lianyungang also exceeded the provincial growth rate of 5.7%, and Zhenjiang’s growth rate was the same as the provincial growth rate.

Overall, the 13 cities in Jiangsu showed the overall characteristics of “huge total volume, steady growth rate, and huge potential” in economic development.
